Castle Colts Match Report

A huge congratulations to Castle Colts under 11’s boys team who reached the semi-final Semis Finals of the Challenge Vase cup.

Unfortunately, the team didn’t progress to the finals after losing 1-0 to Ditton, however, we are extremely proud of their performance on the day and in previous matches.

Manager, Tony Batters, had this to say:
“After such a bright and vibrant start in the first half of the semi-final, we failed to convert any of the chances we had, we outplayed Ditton minors for the whole 30mins of the first half and should have been 4 up at halftime. We again started strong in the first 5 mins then went to sleep where they applied the most pressure they will have of the game, in which they had 2 shots on target, 1of which they scored from. In the end, it was that goal that got the better of us and unfortunately, the boys could not recover.
the team has had a very good end to the season and can now focus on new recruits throughout the summer and as the tournament season begins we hope to pick some trophies along the way.”

We wish the boys the best of luck with their pre-season preparations and in the following season. Hopefully, we will see some summer tournament trophies come their way.
